Origin and Purpose of the Competition
Competition Theme:
This is a creative competition themed around Hong Kong’s diverse public transport systems, aiming to allow participants to showcase Hong Kong’s unique transport culture and urban landscape through drawing and coloring. Participants are free to unleash their imagination, depicting iconic modes of transport such as trams, buses, ferries, and the MTR, integrating them into Hong Kong’s cityscape to create dynamic and vibrant works. Inspired by “Hong Kong’s Public Transport,” the competition encourages participants to observe the details of daily commutes and present Hong Kong’s bustling and vibrant atmosphere through artistic creation. Works can incorporate landmarks (such as Victoria Harbour and neon-lit street scenes), festive atmospheres (such as Lunar New Year floats and Christmas lights), or transport from different eras (such as vintage trams and modern double-decker buses) to demonstrate an understanding and creativity in Hong Kong’s transport culture.
