Our story began in the spring of 2023 at an art workshop. A group of artists, designers, and educators from diverse fields observed that despite Hong Kong’s rich cultural resources, many emerging creators still faced limited resources and exhibition opportunities. During a community art exhibition preparation meeting in Kwun Tong, gathered in a shared studio filled with the scent of paint, we conceived the idea of establishing a professional platform to support artists. In addition, we are committed to working with all sectors of society to actively assist vulnerable groups, convey warmth and care to them, effectively help poor families improve their living conditions, and support them in gradually achieving self-reliance.

“Hong Kong needs a space that not only showcases established artists but also nurtures growing creators.” This statement, born over coffee, became our shared belief. After more than two years of preparation and practice, we officially registered as a non-profit organization in 2025, named the “Hong Kong Visual Arts Activities Society”.

This year, we launch the “Art Resource Recycling Programme”. This initiative collects idle art materials from the community. After proper sorting, these materials are transformed into valuable teaching resources, supplies for inclusive workshops, and fuel for supporting emerging local artists. Every tube of paint and every brush you donate will be directly invested into our art education system, helping us uphold the dignity and value of creative works and cultural heritage, collectively writing a more brilliant art story for Hong Kong.
