Hong Kong Visual Arts Activity Society: A Charitable Platform Building an Inclusive Future Through Art

The Hong Kong Visual Arts Activity Society (HKVAAS) has officially received charitable status from the Inland Revenue Department under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (File No. 91/20430), officially recognizing our mission to promote inclusive arts and community inclusion. From its humble beginnings in the scent of paint in a shared studio in Kwun Tong to its official registration as a non-profit organization in 2025, we firmly believe that “Hong Kong needs to nurture the creative landscape, not just showcase established artists.”

With “Art without Boundaries, Cultural Heritage for All” as our core philosophy, we are committed to building a sustainable arts education system, promoting community inclusion and innovation, and strengthening international exchange. Short-term goals include promoting the “Art Resource Recycling Project,” recycling unused art materials from the community into teaching resources and supporting vulnerable groups. Long-term plans focus on three key areas:
1. Education and Heritage: Establishing a Visual Culture Heritage Fund and a Young Artists Cultivation Program;
2. Inclusion and Innovation: Developing digital art platforms (such as AI and VR creations) and collaborating with social enterprises to address emerging issues;
3. International Exchange and Influence: Hosting international residency programs and organizing the inaugural “Asian Visual Art Fair.”
