The Hong Kong Visual Arts Activity Society is pleased to announce its commitment to promoting the development and preservation of the visual arts. Our story began with an art workshop in the spring of 2023, when a group of professionals from the fields of art, design, and education recognized that despite Hong Kong’s rich cultural and artistic resources, many emerging creators faced a lack of resources and limited exhibition opportunities. During a preparatory meeting for the Kwun Tong Community Art Exhibition, amidst the aroma of paint in a shared studio, we hatched the idea of creating a professional arts support platform.
We firmly believe: “Hong Kong needs a space that not only showcases established artists but also nurtures emerging creators.” This statement, born over the aroma of coffee, has become our shared conviction.
Mission and Vision
We are committed to establishing a sustainable arts education system, promoting community inclusion and innovation, and strengthening international exchange and collaboration. We aim to cultivate artistic talent, preserve Hong Kong’s cultural memory, and build a vibrant arts ecosystem. Our vision is to become Hong Kong’s most influential promoter of visual arts, building bridges between traditional and contemporary art, local and international, and fostering an inclusive, innovative, and sustainable arts ecosystem, ultimately making Hong Kong a leading arts and cultural hub in Asia.
