Workshop Concept
At the Hong Kong Visual Arts Activities Association, we believe that art is an innate language for everyone, a bridge to the heart. Whether you have an artistic background or not, there is a space here for you to freely express yourself, release stress, and discover yourself.

We offer diverse art experiences; there’s bound to be one that suits you:

Zentangle Stress Relief Workshop
Find focus and inner peace in the repetitive strokes and patterns. Zentangle is a simple and easy-to-learn form of meditative drawing that requires no prior art experience. It allows you to release stress and enjoy the tranquility of the present moment while creating.

Art Enlightenment: Creative Collage Workshop
Through simple materials such as polka dot stickers, specialty art paper, fabric, and buttons, children’s creativity and aesthetic sense are stimulated. They learn to combine colors and shapes while enjoying the fun of free creation.
Supported by: Parents and children (4 years and older)
Time: Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 5pm

Japanese Harmony Pastel
Create soft, healing paintings with your fingers and pastels—no prior art experience is required. Feel peace and contentment as colors flow, and complete your own harmonious masterpiece.

Lightweight clay workshop
Unleash your creativity with lightweight clay! Release stress and spark your imagination through kneading and shaping. Finished products can be small ornaments, decorations, or gifts, allowing you to take home your own handmade memories.

Knitting Workshop
Feel the warmth of handmade craftsmanship in the rhythm of knitting, learn basic knitting techniques, and create your own unique pieces. Whether you’re a beginner or a knitting enthusiast, you can find enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment here.

Art Education: Drawing Body Contours
Explore the connection between body and emotion through painting, and create a unique “body map” together with your child. This is an art journey that promotes parent-child interaction and expression, suitable for children aged 4 and up and their parents to participate in together.
Target audience: Parents and children (4 years and older) / General public
Time: Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm
Saturday Special Workshop
Morning session: Public art therapy experience course
Afternoon Session: Free Art Time for Parents and Children to Create Together
Every Saturday morning (9am-12pm), we are open to the public for a single introductory class; every Saturday afternoon (2-5pm), we offer art creation activities for parents and children to enhance parent-child relationships. The theme changes weekly.

Course Features

Who is suitable to participate?
Eligible participants include:
- Adults and adolescents facing emotional distress or stress
- Children with special needs and their families
- Individuals seeking relaxation and self-exploration
- The elderly, caregivers, and anyone wishing to promote mental well-being through art
Supported service recipients include: in-school programs, kindergartens, primary school students, secondary school students, college/university students, SEN (Special Education), seniors, women, people with disabilities, parents and children, people recovering from mental illness, and those undergoing rehabilitation.

How to participate?
Participants should know:
- Group Workshops: Please follow our “Event Newsletter” page for regular updates on registration information and event details.
- One-on-One Therapy: A brief assessment is required first. Please schedule an initial consultation via email or phone.
- Corporate/Group Collaboration: Schools, community centers, and businesses are welcome to contact us to design customized art therapy events.

Professional Team Introduction
This program is planned and executed by qualified art therapists, psychotherapists, and experienced art educators. We value each participant’s unique experience and provide support with a professional and compassionate attitude.
All event details will be regularly published in the “Event Bulletin.” If this is your first time experiencing art therapy, you are welcome to participate in our introductory lecture or experiential workshop!

For every HK$100, there is an opportunity for two people with special needs to participate in community arts workshops, and for one grassroots arts worker to receive professional materials supplementation, etc.
Volunteer Recruitment

Join the Art Supply Station Project volunteer team to help with the sorting, organization, and cleaning of art supplies. We need your enthusiastic participation.
