Origin and Purpose of the Competition

The “Love You, Pets” drawing competition aims to encourage greater care and attention for pets, while also promoting artistic and creative expression and serving as a fundraising event. Entrants can choose any pet they own, such as dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, or their favorite wild animals, and create artwork inspired by them. The competition allows participants to express their love and care for their pets, as well as showcase their drawing skills and creativity. There are no restrictions on drawing style or technique; participants can use various drawing materials and techniques to depict their pets’ physical characteristics, expressions, actions, and interactions with their owners, demonstrating genuine affection and unique personalities. Entrants can also choose to incorporate their pets into a specific scene, such as a natural landscape, their home environment, or other interesting situations, making their work more narrative and creative.

The “Friendly Love for Pets” Art Competition Concludes Successfully – Proceeds Donated to “Fur Protection Rescue” to Support Frontline Animal Protection Organizations and Volunteer Services

The “Friendly Love for Pets” Art Competition was organized by the Hong Kong Creative Arts Association and co-organized by the Hong Kong Visual Arts Activities Association. This first collaboration with “Fur Protection Rescue” aimed to encourage greater awareness and love for pets through the theme “Caring for Pets, Walking with You,” while also promoting the use of artistic creativity for fundraising.

The “Friendly Love for Pets” Art Competition was successfully completed in August, and all winners received certificates and medals/trophies as encouragement. The Association also donated the proceeds to the charity “Fur Protection Rescue” in September, hoping to raise awareness of stray animals and support related initiatives.

We hope to contribute to the needs of different social strata and use the platform of artistic creation to unite forces to improve the community. Let love end homelessness.
